Dr. Mahesh Champaklal – Retired Professor Emeritus; Ex-Head, Dept. of Dramatics and ExDean, Faculty of Performing Arts, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. He was Fellow at Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla and received Senior Fellowship by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. Conferred upon Gaurav Puraskar by Gujarat Sangeet Natak Academy, Gandhinagar; Best Translation Prize by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi and Gujarat Sahitya Academy, Gandhinagar. Authored and published in Gujarati four books on ‘Natyashastra’ and three books on ‘Theatre Criticism’ which were acknowledged and awarded by Gujarati Sahitya Parishad and Gujarat Sahitya Academy.
